  • Administrative Assistant

    Job Location: Monticello, MN

    Job Type: Part-Time


    Schlenner Wenner & Co. is a family-oriented and dynamic workplace that is focused on the well-being of our clients, our employees, and their families.


    Our Firm is currently looking for an Administrative Assistant in our Monticello office. The Administrative Assistant is a dedicated employee capable of working independently and within a team environment on both routine and nonrecurring administrative projects.


    This is a part-time position with varying hours through the year. Hours will fall within the Firm's regular office hours, which are generally Monday-Friday from 8:00am-5:00pm. Summer office hours (June-August) are generally Monday-Thursday from 8:00am-5:00pm (closed Friday's).


    Work Schedule

    January – April

    • Full-time, approximately 40 hours a week.
    • Additional and/or flexible work hours in March and April, including 2-3 Saturdays.

    May – December

    • Part-time; approximately 2-3 days a week.

    Essential Duties

    • Open and close office by following set procedures and maintaining punctuality.
    • Greet guests in a professional, friendly, hospitable manner.
    • Professionally administer all incoming calls – transfer, take messages, or provide information
    • Assist with client administration – process client payments, set client appointments, and track client deliverables.
    • Type correspondence and perform data entry.
    • Perform various clerical duties such as photocopying, faxing, scanning, and filing.
    • Assist with office maintenance – monitor and stock front desk inventory, contact maintenance for requests, and maintain office cleanliness.
    • Receive, sort, forward incoming mail and faxes, and run postage for outgoing mail.
    • Assist with the pick-up and delivery of mail services (USPS, FedEx, UPS, etc.)
    • Relieves Partners of administrative responsibilities as requested.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    • Strong computer skills that include Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Ability to manage computer operations and applications.
    • Professional demeanor and must maintain strict client confidentiality.
    • Ability to multi-task with high attention to detail.
    • Ability to operate standard office equipment such as printer, copier, fax machine, and telephone.
    • Ability to maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent phone etiquette.
    • Well-developed interpersonal skills. Ability to get along well with diverse personalities, tactful, mature, and flexible.
    • Ability to perform research and effectively solve problems.

    Education/Experience

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Minimum 1 year of administrative and/or accounting related experience.
