  • Associate

    Job Status: Full-time

    Location: St. Cloud

    Department: Tax


    Essential Duties & Responsibilities

    • Prepare estimates, projections, provisions, and various types of tax returns.
    • Maintain multiple engagements, identify issues, and develop alternatives for issues that arise.
    • Regularly consult with engagement team, updating them of work status and client requests.
    • Monitor progress of engagements in relation to budgets and due dates.
    • Complete research and special projects as needed.

    Education & Experience

    • Bachelors degree in Accounting with 1-3 years of experience in public accounting or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
    • Eligible to sit for the CPA exam.
    • General knowledge of accounting principles.

    Skills Necessary for Success

    • Ability to organize and analyze information and conduct research.
    • Well-developed interpersonal skills. Ability to get along well with diverse personalities. 
    • Ability to operate independently and self-manage projects.
    • Proficient with Microsoft (MS) windows and Office products

  • Supervisor

    Job Status: Full-time

    Location: St. Cloud or Monticello

    Department: Tax or Audit (Governmental)


    Essential Duties & Responsibilities - Tax

    • Reviews research findings, tax returns and client tax workpapers, ensures conclusions are consistent with firm policies and professional standards, and determines implications and best course of action for clients.
    • Documents research and planning to share with client team, colleagues and client.
    • Scopes engagements, manages client expectations, ensures satisfaction and communicates upward.
    • Build and maintain client relationships through direct contact on assigned engagements; provide timely response to clients and internal requests. 
    • Dedicate time to coaching others in tax software knowledge, business process, research, and technical expertise. 
    • Serve as a mentor by providing structured feedback to Interns and Associates. 

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities - Audit (Governmental)

    • Stay current on recent pronouncements; identify and implement them to audit work and address any related report disclosures.
    • Manage engagements in accordance with our Firm's quality standards for self, team, and client.
    • Responsible for ensuring engagement is complete and ready for Partner review within established time frame and budget.
    • Effectively supervise more than one engagement at a time.
    • Prepare complex financial reports (statements, footnotes, and all supplemental information) and other client deliverables.
    • Add value to clients by identifying suggestions through management comments and advice.
    • Serve as a mentor in developing Interns and Associates by delegating and training.

    Education & Experience

    • Bachelors degree in Accounting with 3-7 years of experience in public accounting or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
    • Completion of CPA exam or is eligible and plans to sit for the CPA exam is preferred.

    Skills Necessary for Success

    • Presentation skills are necessary to present at committee meetings, industry or trade associations, or office events.
    • Knowledge of differing client businesses and industries.
    • Well-developed interpersonal skills. Ability to get along well with diverse personalities.
    • Ability to operate independently and self-manage projects.
    • Ability to demonstrate consultative service skills.
    • Proficient with Microsoft (MS) windows and Office products.

  • Manager

    Job Status: Full-time

    Location: St. Cloud

    Department: Audit - Governmental


    Essential Duties & Responsibilities

    • Serves as client's first point of contact. Fosters personal relationships with appropriate client contacts and serves as a valued business advisor. 
    • Manages existing client relationships and understands dynamics of each relationship and engagement history with the client. 
    • Completes Manager level reviews for engagements in accordance with the Firm's quality control policies. 
    • Responsible for ensuring engagements are complete and ready for Partner review within set timeframe and budget.
    • May serve as an advisor for staff, facilitate on-the-job training, and keep staff advised of audit and accounting developments. 
    • Delivers effective presentations and is able to adjust presentation style based on audience. 
    • Regularly read and be familiar with pronouncements from AICPA and Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB). 
    • Participate in internal and external networking activities while enhancing existing COI network. 
    • Participate in proposal process: prospective client meetings, proposal drafting, and budget development.

    Education & Experience

    • Bachelors degree in Accounting with 7-9 years of experience in public accounting or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
    • Completion of CPA exam or is eligible and plans to sit for the CPA exam is preferred.

    Skills Necessary for Success

    • Presentation skills are necessary to present at committee meetings, industry or trade associations, or office events.
    • Able to identify complex accounting issues.
    • Knowledge of differing client businesses and industries.
    • Well-developed interpersonal skills. Ability to get along well with diverse personalities.
    • Able to operate independently and self-manage projects.
    • Able to set and maintain business development goals.
    • Strong project management and multi-tasking skills. 
    • Possess the writing skills to draft client deliverables (financial report, management letter, Board of Director's letter, etc.).
    • Proficient with Microsoft (MS) windows and Office products.
